European youth demands changes in European energy policy

Understanding, discussing and changing energy and climate topics – the Schwarzkopf Foundation gathered 400 young people from 35 European countries over a time span of 3 years within the project “Power Shifts – Reflecting Europe’s Energy”. Their demands are now summarised in a final publication.

The youngsters’ claims include four main areas:
1. Stronger decentralisation in a European energy transition
2. More ambitious emission reductions
3. More serious decarbonisation through low- and zero-emission mobility
4. Global solidarity in combating climate change

News from the energy world!

The third Power Shifts Academic Forum in Heidelberg is quickly approaching and with a month left until the start of the forum, the Steering group, our Think Tank behind the project Power Shifts – Reflecting Europe’s Energy, has now prepared the fourth Newsletter for you.

The newsletter will introduce you to the concept of Virtual Power Plants and it features updates from the Energy Agencies of our three project countries, Germany, France and Poland. You can furthermore read an interview with our project patron and federal minister for Economics and Energy Mrs. Brigitte Zypries and find some information on a very current energy trend: Digitalisation.
