Three decades of youth participation in Europe

What do you get if you put a birthday cake and 500 volunteers in one room? A beautiful 30th anniversary, of course!

From July 28-30th, 2017 both alumni of the European Youth Parliament as well as active volunteers came together to meet each other, learn about the development of the organisation throughout the decates, as well as gather ideas for its future. Especially the topic of alumni work was kicked off with concrete proposals in a workshop held during the two-day event.

Celebrations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the European Youth Parliament begin in Brno

The anniversary event foresees the get-together of almost 500 active and former participants, as well as the launch of alumni activities. Since 1987, the European Youth Parliament has provided young Europeans with possibilities to travel abroad, to learn about active engagement in society, and to form personal networks beyond borders.
