Encouraging young people to vote for Europe

How will European democracy look after the elections in May? Will young people feel more represented? In 2014, only 28% of 18-to-24-year-olds voted in the European Parliament elections, compared to 51% of those aged over 55. The European Youth Parliament (EYP) encourages young voters to make use of their voting rights. This peer-to-peer educational programme offers young people the space to actively engage with democracy, not just during elections, but in everyday life.

The biggest Youth Event in Armenia

The 89th International Session of the European Youth Parliament(EYP) took place in Yerevan, Armenia in March 2019. For 10 days, almost 300 participants from 36 countries across Europe engaged in intercultural encounters and explored ways to be active citizens together. It was notably the biggest international youth event in the history of Armenia. Young Energy Opinion on Energy Transition

This March has been busy for the Power Shifts project! Next to the Yerevan International Session and Baku National Selection Conference, also the National Selection Conference of EYP France took place between 21- 26 March in Eaubonne with a total of 115 participants, gathering delegates from all over France as well as Ukraine and Armenia.
